Fountains Abbey Parish Council

Meet your representatives

The members of the Parish council are required to live or work either in the Parish or within 3 miles of Parish boundaries. They are chosen by the electors of the Parish at local elections or in the absence of candidates or following a resignation they can be co-opted. Each member is required to Declare their Interests and these are held by North Yorkshire Council.

There are currently five Councillors on the Parish Council.

  • Cllr. Derrick Slater and Cllr. Jennie Atkinson represent Studley Roger,
  • Cllr. Vic Lawson represents Lindrick
  • Cllr. Charles Johnson represents Aldfield.
  • Cllr. Dr. Steve Byfield represents Aldfield. Cllr. Byfield is the Chairman of the Parish Council.

North Yorkshire Council

Cllr. Felicity Cunliffe-Lister was elected to North Yorkshire Council in February 2023.
